arenaflex is a global leader dedicated to shaping the future of food, fiber, and infrastructure for a rapidly expanding planet. With more than 7 billion people on Earth today and a projected 2 billion additional inhabitants by 2050, the challenges of feeding, equipping, and connecting humanity have never been more urgent. arenaflex meets these challenges by investing heavily in its people, cutting‑edge technology, and innovative business models that turn complex problems into sustainable solutions.

Our mission is simple yet ambitious: empower customers to achieve more while reducing upfront costs, increasing operational flexibility, and delivering continuous value through recurring‑revenue services. As part of this mission, arenaflex is driving a bold 2030 Leap Ambition that transforms traditional product sales into a Solutions as a Service (SaaS) ecosystem. If you believe that one person can make a measurable difference in the world, arenaflex offers you the platform, resources, and collaborative community to turn that belief into reality.

Role Overview

The Business Transformation Customer Insights Analyst is a pivotal member of arenaflex’s Business Transformation team. Working remotely from anywhere in the United States (with a primary focus on the Moline, IL region), you will lead sophisticated quantitative and qualitative research initiatives that shape the company’s SaaS strategy, inform product‑development roadmaps, and guide go‑to‑market decisions. Your insights will directly influence how arenaflex transitions from a one‑time purchase model to a recurring‑license model that delivers ongoing value to customers across agriculture, construction, robotics, and automation sectors.

This role is ideal for a seasoned market researcher who thrives in fast‑moving environments, enjoys translating complex data into clear, actionable narratives, and is comfortable partnering with senior leaders, product managers, and external research vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead high‑complexity statistical research studies—design, execute, and interpret primary, secondary, quantitative, and qualitative research projects that support the Business Transformation agenda.
  • Manage external research ecosystem—identify, negotiate, and maintain relationships with market‑research firms, competitive‑intelligence consultants, and data‑service suppliers to ensure high‑quality deliverables.
  • Translate data into strategic insight—provide concise, data‑driven recommendations to decision‑makers, helping them understand market trends, customer preferences, and emerging opportunities.
  • Define SaaS customer segments—collaborate with product teams to segment the market based on usage patterns, willingness to pay, and operational needs, creating personas that drive product‑service bundling.
  • Forecast demand elasticity—collect and model data that predicts how customers will respond to new‑to‑the‑world SaaS offerings, informing pricing and rollout strategies.
  • Coach and mentor research initiatives—lead cross‑functional market‑research efforts across the Business Transformation ecosystem, providing guidance, best‑practice frameworks, and execution oversight.
  • Own the insights workstream—plan, schedule, and deliver all deliverables for the Customer Insights component of the Business Transformation program, ensuring alignment with broader transformation milestones.
  • Travel as needed—participate in on‑site workshops, customer visits, and industry conferences up to 25 % of the time to gather firsthand market intelligence.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of market‑research experience focused on technology‑driven, recurring‑revenue products (SaaS, subscription, or service‑based models).
  • Proven ability to apply statistical analysis techniques (regression, factor analysis, conjoint, segmentation) to generate actionable business recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—with a track record of producing clear, compelling reports and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Strong organizational and documentation abilities, ensuring research processes are transparent, reproducible, and auditable.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills that foster collaboration across diverse functional teams and external partners.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25 % of the time for fieldwork, stakeholder workshops, and industry events.

Preferred Qualifications & Distinguishing Attributes

  • Industry experience in agriculture, construction, robotics, automation, or autonomy, providing contextual understanding of arenaflex’s core markets.
  • Ability to simplify complex topics into memorable, audience‑tailored messages—ensuring insights are not only heard but acted upon.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a habit of exploring the full solution space to uncover innovative approaches to market‑research challenges.
  • Tenacious problem‑solving mindset—persistently overcoming obstacles and delivering results under ambiguous conditions.
  • Comfort with rapid‑change environments where new data and market dynamics emerge weekly.
  • Logical, structured thinking—breaking problems into components, prioritizing actions, and communicating solutions succinctly.
  • Self‑directed work ethic—taking ownership of objectives, planning own workload, and driving initiatives forward without micromanagement.
  • Bias toward action—demonstrated history of turning ideas into concrete deliverables and measurable outcomes.
  • Self‑awareness and growth orientation—openly acknowledging strengths, development areas, and learning from mistakes.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, Data Science, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent professional experience in market research, analytics, or product strategy will also be considered.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Statistical Software Proficiency—experience with tools such as R, Python (pandas, statsmodels), SAS, SPSS, or similar platforms.
  • Data Visualization—ability to craft compelling dashboards and visual stories using Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Survey Design & Execution—expertise in constructing robust questionnaires, managing panels, and ensuring data quality.
  • Project Management—skill in scoping, scheduling, and delivering multi‑stakeholder research projects on time and within budget.
  • Stakeholder Influence—capacity to build trust with senior leaders, product owners, and external partners, translating insights into strategic decisions.
  • Business Acumen—understanding of SaaS economics, subscription pricing, and customer lifetime value calculations.
  • Adaptability—ability to pivot quickly when market conditions shift, ensuring research remains relevant and timely.
