Operations Manager - 2nd Shift
Description:
- Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
- Lead and manage at least five leads and up to 70 front-line associates in a lean manufacturing environment.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, accountability, and performance management for direct reports.
- Participate in strategic planning and help execute goals and objectives aligned with company priorities.
- Ensure adherence to operating standards, policies, procedures, and performance expectations.
- Recruit, select, orient, train, and develop supervisory staff and team members.
- Ensure progression-path training and certification processes are consistently completed.
- Provide competency-based feedback and guidance to leads and associates.
- Support production planning and ensure adequate capacity for each line.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and loss prevention guidelines.
- Drive team engagement around quality, production, and cost objectives.
- Lead problem-solving efforts and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- 5 years of management experience in automotive or a lean manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience leading and developing associates.
- Proven ability to achieve project deliverables and company metrics.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record for the last 3 years.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high volume and quality standards.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong analysis and decision-making ability.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends.
- Ability to walk up to three miles per day.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent physical movements in varied environmental conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently and use required safety equipment and PPE.
- Must pass a complete background check.
