Responsibilities:
- Participate in the NCCI Procedure to Procedure and Medically Unlike Edit work group meetings to provide clinical input and guidance
- Serve as a clinical subject matter expert to assist in responses to inquiries received regarding the NCCI edits and Education material
- Perform research and provide input to updates needed in the Coding Policy Manual, Medicare and Medicaid NCCI Manuals
- Attend and participate in contractor meetings
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Conduct research to provide input in the work group meetings
- Provide input and support in the contractor meetings
- Prepare research documents to support the NCCI edits and educational materials
- Provide clinical and coding training to contract staff as needed
