Collins Aerospace has an exciting opportunity for a Global Trade Technology Manager. Were looking for a passionate professional to accept a high level of responsibility within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. A Senior Manager, Global Trade Technology Manager is a Jurisdiction & Classification (JC) and a Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) Specialist. Familiar with both export and import regulations. The position requires both a high-level understanding of the products and an intimate knowledge of the regulations surrounding their export and import. In this position you will be responsible for leading a small team supporting all (Power & Controls) P&C US sites with a focus on Supply Chain and Aftermarket Technology Management needs within P&C.
This position is located in Windsor Locks, CT and the opportunity to work remotely will be considered. Some travel may be required. This role may be eligible for relocation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work under/within the following U.S. Regulations; Export Administration Regulation (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) and HTS
- Perform most sophisticated JC analysis and validation (resolution of JC escalation, supplier issues, etc.)
- Perform HTS classifications.
- Support investigations and reviews of possible GT escapes and disclosures.
- Determine root cause of escapes and implement corrective actions to support process improvement.
- Analyze business needs (including technology needs) with respect to export authorization requirements
- Prepare and submit Commodity Jurisdiction (CJ) and Commodity Classification Automated Tracking System (CCATS) to government agencies.
- Support development and delivery of formal and informal J/C and HTS Focal training.
- Typically requires University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience OR in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- BS/MS Engineering or Business Administration
- Engineering and/or technical background
- Aerospace (program/technical) experience
- Experience with classifications under the World Customs Organization (WCO) HTS
- Experience with US Export (classification) Regulations; specifically the EAR and the Commerce Control List (CCL), ITAR and the United States Munitions List (USML)
- 1 to 2 years working with GT and related export/HTS classification matters Experience with Collins/RTX current trade compliance related processes (classifications, authorizations, logging, compliant transfer modes, record keeping, etc.) and Collins specific GT related systems (GTS, OCR, MKDenial, xClass, TEXPORT) is a plus.
