Job Summary

As a Benefits Department Customer Service Agent, you will be the first point of contact for customers seeking information and assistance with their benefits. You will be responsible for providing exceptional service, resolving issues, and answering questions in a timely and professional manner. This is a part-time position, requiring a flexible schedule to meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide exceptional customer service to current and former associates, family members, power of attorneys, personal representatives, physician offices, stockholders, and Qualified Beneficiaries. - Respond to requests and inquiries in a timely and professional manner, either in person, by phone, or via email. - Resolve issues and concerns in a fair and equitable manner, ensuring that customers are satisfied with the outcome. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, including phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings. - Collaborate with other departments to resolve complex issues and provide seamless support to customers. - Stay up-to-date on benefits policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure accurate and informed responses to customer inquiries. - Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Essential Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. - 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a benefits or insurance environment. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner. - Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working in a benefits or insurance environment, preferably with a large organization. - Knowledge of benefits policies, procedures, and regulations. - Certification in customer service or a related field. - Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate with customers in multiple languages. - Experience working in a call center or customer service environment.
