While this is not a tenure-track position, the career path is towards long-term contracts: 1- and 3-year contracts at assistant, 5-year at associate, and 7-year at full professor. About the Data Science Graduate Program The Data Science Graduate Program is a component of the Department of Computer Science at the University of Denver. We offer a professionally focused, 48-credit curriculum leading to a Master of Data Science, which students can complete through either our online or on-campus program tracks. Required Qualifications

• MS in Computer Science/Data Science or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• Evidence demonstrating potential for excellence in teaching.
• Interest in integrating DEI into teaching and service

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience teaching a variety of data science courses using Python libraries.
• An applied background in one or more of the following: machine learning operations, neural network architectures, distributed computing, and natural language processing.
• Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience with, culturally responsive teaching methods and/or pedagogies to effectively engage broadly diverse student populations.
• Ph.D. in Computer Science or related discipline.
