Key Responsibilities:

As an Experienced Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Promptly entering prescription data into our electronic health record system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
• Verifying prescription orders for completeness and accuracy, while maintaining up-to-date patient records
• Communicating with healthcare providers to resolve discrepancies and secure additional information as needed
• Maintaining strict quality and compliance standards, adhering to HIPAA regulations and industry best practices
• Collaborating with pharmacists, providers, patients, and team members to ensure seamless communication and care coordination
• Utilizing and troubleshooting pharmacy software and systems to optimize workflows and improve productivity

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Active pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) and licensure in accordance with Virginia Board of Pharmacy requirements
• Commitment to maintaining continuing education and staying updated on industry best practices
• 1-2 years of experience in pharmacy or healthcare-related data entry, with a proven track record of accuracy and efficiency (preferred not required)
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and the ability to handle sensitive patient information responsibly
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and maintain productivity benchmarks while handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with pharmacists, providers, patients, and team members
• Proficiency in utilizing and troubleshooting pharmacy software and systems to optimize workflows

Preferred Qualifications:

* Familiarity with 503A or 503B compounding workflows, or experience in data entry for specialty pharmacies (preferred not required)

• Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
