Associate Financial Analyst
Applied Systems is a company transforming the insurance industry with innovative software and services. They are seeking an Associate Financial Analyst to join their FP&A team, responsible for maintaining financial planning tools, creating materials for board meetings, and supporting financial modeling and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the financial planning tool for the enterprise
- Help create Board and Operating materials on a monthly/quarterly basis
- Maintain financial models to support the product/new business initiatives, budgeting, and forecasting
- Automate and streamline monthly reporting
- Support consolidation and reporting of operational data and metrics while providing insights and driving measurable results through strong influencing and collaboration skills
- Interpret the data into actionable items and collaborate with cross-functional partners to drive measurable results with a sense of urgency
- Lead development and enhancement of dashboards and reporting packages to drive improved business results
Skills
- BS/BA in finance, business, or a related field
- 1+ years of related FP&A and business partnership
- Excel expertise, with the ability to build and manage complex models
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of an organization
- Excellent with numbers, math & logic
- Excellent financial management and analytical skills, with a deep and demonstrated understanding of financial modeling and analysis tools
- Passionate about business: you like to understand what drives a business, and try to identify opportunities to go after and risks to mitigate
