University - Data Scientist
Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a University Data Scientist to unlock insights from complex data sets using machine learning and artificial intelligence. This role involves working closely with clients to analyze data and provide actionable insights to help solve global issues.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with your customer to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environment to find the pieces of their information puzzle
- Apply analytical skills and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn that set of disparate data points into tangible answers to help clients make informed decisions
- Provide your customer with a deep understanding of their data, what it all means, and how they can use it
Skills
- Experience with machine learning, data mining, statistics, or graph algorithms in academic or internship environments
- Experience using R, Perl, Python, SAS, or SPSS for data analysis
- Knowledge of an object-oriented language, including Java, C++, C#, or Python
- Ability to leverage expertise in data gathering and analytical work
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree by Winter 2025 or Spring/Summer 2026
- Possession of excellent problem-solving skills
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field preferred
