Engineer I

The Control Systems Engineer will manage the design, implementation, testing, and commissioning of non-safety control systems for greenfield projects in the nuclear power industry.
Responsibilities
- Help design industrial control systems by analyzing requirements and reviewing customer provided design input
- Implement control logic and HMI displays based on the functional design
- Support a variety of calculations including software hazards analysis, susceptibility analysis, FMEAs, and Power/Heat load calculations
- Help develop control system platform standards
- Perform part change evaluations to address obsolescence
- Prepare and implement test procedures for both unit and system level testing
- Perform other V&V related activities to support project quality plans
- Prepare documents to support the design, implementation, test, and commissioning of industrial control systems
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Nuclear)
- 0+ years of experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of engineering principles and techniques
- Understanding of control theory including plant processes, process dynamics, basic control, discrete control, and sequential control
- Experience with common PLC, SCADA, or DCS platforms is desired
- Experience in industrial environments or with industrial control systems
