Job Summary

The Point of Sale (POS) Infrastructure Engineer is responsible to implement technical design from senior team members, update hardware requirements, create and update documentation, test software configurations, and be comfortable deploying hardware and software in multiple environments (dev,qa, etc.). This position will also work with the field systems help desk and other teams to troubleshoot technical issues with POS hardware and software. 

Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)

• Work with FOCUS POS development and business teams to implement the new enhancement/features based on the approved design pertains to Store Infrastructure eco systems.

• Develop the reusable configurations and runbooks for POS Infra components like servers, makeline, terminals for various initiatives like OS Upgrade, new H/W certification, Monetra Upgrade and Puppet upgrade.

• Develop/enhance DevOps pipelines using Jenkins to automate the configuration effort.

• Develop common, repeatable, automatable Store tech infrastructure playbooks for daily operations as well for patching.

• Based on the available courses, uplift the skillset from cloud perspective regularly.

• Develop and test recovery and resiliency environments for POS infra resources.

• Troubleshoot compute resources with appropriate tools/reports and KPIs using SPLUNK.

• Establish KPIs and reports for Backup of servers at stores to increase the coverage across NA region.

• Implement monitoring and alerting of cloud infrastructure availability and performance on need basis.

• Build and regularly report on, POS infrastructure metrics and SLAs.

• Align any new Infra solutions with other technology and architecture domains.
