Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced part-time Customer Care Professional to join our remote customer support team in Phoenix, USA. As a Customer Care Professional, you'll be the face of American Express, providing exceptional customer experiences and support to our small business clients. You'll work in a fast-paced, online environment, responding to inbound calls, and providing product information, resolving issues, and building relationships with our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to inbound calls from small business clients and prospects, engaging in conversations to understand their needs and recommend suitable American Express Small Business Services products.
  • Deliver high levels of product and service knowledge to communicate product features, benefits, and other relevant information to clients.
  • Develop key selling skills, including building rapport, understanding client needs, resolving complaints, and closing sales.
  • Provide exceptional customer care by answering questions about accounts in a high-speed, organized customer care environment.
  • Document important account information according to established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain honesty and comply with all administrative and regulatory guidelines related to sales practices.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of customer support experience, with a focus on building client loyalty through excellent listening, consultative relationship building, and strong written and verbal communication.
  • 2+ years of demonstrated success in a customer care and sales environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the capability to multitask and navigate in an online environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; education benefits available.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and sales tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
